Commish
Help
Most of what goes wrong has a one-line answer. Start here — and if none of these is yours, the address at the bottom reaches a person.
Three ways to play
Pick’em. Pick the winner of every game each week. That’s the whole pick — no numbers, no ranking. A right pick is one point; most right across the season wins, and if a week ends level, whoever finished their picks first ranks higher.
Confidence. Pick the winner of every game, then rank your picks by how sure you are — your surest is worth the most points, your shakiest is worth 1, and each number can be used only once. A correct pick earns its number; a miss earns nothing. Most points across the season wins.
Survivor. Pick one team each week to win its game — any margin. Win and you survive to next week; a loss, a tie, or a missed week is a strike. Most pools let you pick each team only once a season, so spending the big favorites early is the whole gamble. Last player standing wins.
My sign-in code never arrived
Check the junk folder first; the mail comes from commish@mail.commishpools.com. Codes expire ten minutes after they are sent, so an older one will not work — ask for another from the same screen.
Use the same email address every time. A second address is a second account, and it will not be in the pool the first one joined.
The join link someone sent me doesn't work
Commissioners can replace a pool’s join link, and the old one stops working the moment they do. They can also close a pool once everyone is in. Either way the fix is the same: ask whoever runs the pool for a current link.
I can't change a pick
Picks lock at kickoff, and nothing reopens them — not the commissioner, not us. That is the point: everyone plays with the same information.
Which kickoff depends on the pool. Some lock each pick as its own game starts; others lock the whole week at the first kickoff. Your pool’s Rules tab says which, along with everything else it plays by.
The standings look wrong
Check the Rules tab before anything else — most surprises are the pool’s own settings rather than a mistake. Ties score nothing for everybody. A week with no pick counts the same as a wrong one. Tie-breaks and strike counts vary by pool.
Results come from a live feed, so a final score can lag the final whistle by a few minutes. If a game is genuinely scored wrong, the commissioner can correct it from Manage → Correct a result, and standings recompute immediately. If the feed itself is wrong, tell us — that one is ours.
I want out of a pool, or someone needs removing
Commissioners remove and reinstate players from the Standings tab: the ⋯ beside a player's name. If you are a player, ask yours — who is in a pool is theirs to decide, and we do not reach into pools to do it for them.
Billing, upgrades, and refunds
A paid pool is one flat charge for one season. There is no subscription, nothing renews, and there is nothing to cancel — see pricing for what each tier costs.
If you upgraded a pool that then went unused, write to us. Refunds are handled case by case.
Deleting a pool or an account
Neither is a button yet. Email us from the address on the account and we will do it by hand.
Does Commish handle our pool's money?
No — and there is no feature that could. We sell pool-management software: we never collect entry fees, hold a pot, calculate prizes, or move money between players. Whatever your pool plays for is arranged and settled entirely among yourselves, and our price is the same either way.
Still stuck?
Email support@commishpools.com. Name your pool and say what you expected to happen — that is usually enough to skip a round trip. If you hit an error screen with a reference code on it, paste the code in; it points us straight at the failure.
